David Bowie, a Playlist in Pictures, was imagined by a fan, who created a unique collector’s item, aimed at both the singer’s fans and lovers of beautiful prints with very special colours, textures and feel.
Olivier Jourdanet’s desire is to offer visual creations in various styles while offering an overall unity.
Many references to the singer’s universe nestle, sometimes hiding at the heart of the illustrations to the delight of initiates and observers attentive to the richness of the visuals. The eclectic graphic approach responds to Bowie’s ever-changing image and music, whom has always kept the main themes and a great coherence throughout his immense artistic career.
The box set was premiered in Philadelphia at the Philly Loves Bowie Week festival in January 2019 and was presented to several former David Bowie musicians for the occasion.
